Appointments & Fees

Please contact me confidentially on 0770 202 6943  to arrange an appointment.

I offer an initial fifty minute session for the reduced fee of £40 for an individual or £60 for more than two people attending. This will provide us with some time to get to know each other and for you to 'talk' about what brings you to counselling at this time. It will also provide an opportunity for me to answer any questions you might have about counselling and to see if we would like to work together and arrange ongoing meetings.

Appointment times are flexible and offered depending on availability between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings for an additional fee of £20. Appointments usually take place at the same time each week, but some flexibility can be offered depending on availability. I offer both short-term and long-term counselling depending on your needs.

Individual ongoing sessions

Two or more people sharing a session

  • Appointment Times

Sessions are based on the 50 minute therapeutic hour.

Appointment times are flexible and offered depending on availability between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday mornings for an additional fee of £10.

It might be decided that it would be helpful to have a one hour and twenty minute sessions when there are more than two people attending together for a charge of £100.

  • Payment Information

Payment is due at the time of each appointment by Bank Transfer or cash.  In the case of initial, video or telephone appointments I require payment to be made 24 hours in advance via bank transfer.

  • Cancellations & Missed Appointments

I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy.  If you cancel a booked appointment with less that 24 hours notice or miss a session the full fee will be charged.  If you book and pay for a session and then subsequently find that you do not wish to continue then I will refund your session fee in full.

If on arrival for a session I consider you to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or display behaviour that I consider inappropriate I will ask you to leave and the full sessions fee will be charged.

If you arrive late for your appointment I will not be able to extend your session or charge a pro-rata fee.

  • Discretionary Discount

I offer a student rate of £50 per fifty minute session.

A discretionary discount will be considered for those on benefits or in genuine financial hardship.

Student and discounted sessions are offered for daytime appointments only.

  • Face-to-Face Appointments

This is the traditional and most popular form of therapy.  As a client I will see you in a private and confidential setting in the comfort of my home.  Many people prefer this approach as it offers increased privacy and confidentiality which might be difficult to achieve in your day-to-day home life.

  • On-line or Telephone Councelling

Modern technology has changed the way many of us communicate with each other.  I now offer counselling via talking on the telephone or on-line to my clients via Skype, Zoom, VSee, WhatsApp or other secure apps.

If you are familiar and comfortable talking on-line or over the phone then this might be a preferred option for you and can be a helpful alternative to traditional face to face sessions particularly for those who:

    • Would prefer to see a therapist who is outside the local area.
    • Have work commitments requiring you to travel or work shifts.
    • Have mobility resitictions, agoraphobia.
    • Difficulty arranging child care.
    • Feel safer working from a location of your choice.
    •  Lack time for additional travel to come and see me.

I have specific terms and conditions covering sessions using these methods that include confidentiality, payment, etc.  I will forward these  to you if Telephone or Online therapy is your preferred option.
